If you’re from Pelican, the Westby family and Faith need no introduction. Faith was a red headed firecracker who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was born with Kabuki syndrome, a rare disorder that affects multiple parts of the body. She deservingly earned the accolade Red Headed Warrior, as she fought that in addition of several infections and transplants with the best spirit and highest determination until she lost the battle in March of 2019.
She would have graduated this year (PRHS Class of 2021). The Westby family, Pete and Jeannie, contacted me to help keep her memory alive. Over the years, there’d be t-shirts made with sayings like ‘Faith Over Fear’ and ‘Everything is Possible with Faith’ / oh yeah and her favorite color was purple. So they decided on a few different style mugs (purple, of course) with Everything is Possible with Faith on one side and her signature and handprint on the other. So whenever they get used, you can give a mini-High 5 to Faith.
I can’t begin to try to express how honored I am to bring these mugs to life for you. Thank you for your ‘faith’ in Hillbilly Laser!
